What is the Poor Souls Project?

 

This website is intended to serve as an online register of deceased Catholics for the purpose of facilitating prayers for their souls. Anyone can add a soul to this database, all it takes is a simple registration process which also allows for daily emails with all the souls who have died on that day. Users with accounts can also customize the date display format and other features.

In the interests of maintaining accuracy, users can edit any soul in the database, but their edits must be approved before they are published. Consequently, it is recommended to ensure completeness and accuracy before adding an entry. Likewise users can request a soul be removed from the database, but it must be approved before taking effect. All approvals are performed by the site administration, and are subject to their discretion. Users will be set to "read only" if they misuse the site.

This site is operated by sedevacantists, and therefore is primarily intended for use by sedevacantists. However, anyone can use the site as long as they correctly use the religious affiliation field in the database. This field allows for values such as "Sedevacantist", "Recognize & Resist", etc. It is essential that this religious affiliation field is used correctly by users when adding entries. If a person denied the reality of baptism of desire, baptism of blood, and/or invicible ignorance, they are to be characterized as a Feeneyite when adding them to the database.
